How To Fish

Spiritfarer Catch Fish

Spiritfarer’s fishing mini-game is unlocked at the start of the game. To start fishing, simply interact with the chair located at the back of your ship, past the Captain’s quarters. Once the fishing mini-game begins, Stella’s Everlight will be transformed into a fishing rod, allowing you to cast a line.

Wait until you hear a bell sound indicating you’ve caught something. Start reeling in the line, making sure to let go once your rod begins to turn red. If you keep reeling after your rod turns red, the line will break, and you’ll lose the fish.

Depending on the species, you may encounter little to no resistance when reeling in the rod. However, rarer species like Tuna are much harder to catch due to their significant resistance. Just try to be patient and focus on matching the fish’s rhythm.

Remember that any fish you catch can be used to make dishes for the Spirits aboard your ship, sold at shops throughout the world or traded in to fulfill NPC errand quests.

All Fish Locations

Spiritfarer All Fish Locations

There are 33 species of fish in Spiritfarer, and catching them all will require you to access the Ice, Rock and Mist Regions by upgrading your ship. The type of fish that appear will depend on the region as well as the weather.

When it comes to shellfish that appear on your ship’s hull, like Mussels and Oysters, current speculation suggests new species become available the more you increase your ship’s size.

How To Unlock ‘Collector’ Achievement

Spiritfarer Collector Achievement

The ‘Collector’ Achievement is unlocked by completing all collections in Spiritfarer, which entails discovering every fish, figurine, gem, metal and recipe.

Considering this is one of the most challenging achievements to unlock, we recommend just playing the game normally until you have the full map revealed. From there, start focusing on individual collections.
