DXRacer Racing Series Review

The DXRacer Racing Series has received good reviews from most people, but are they actually WORTH the money? Perhaps not.

Bottom Line

The DXRacer Racing Series is a good dedicated gaming chair and is a suitable choice for most people.

With the excellent warranty that is provided with this chair, we can definitely recommend it.

But truth be told, you’re better off with a decent ergonomic office chair than a gaming chair.

4.1

Being a professional gamer is a lot harder than people think. Not only do you have to keep your mechanical skills sharp, but you also have to ensure that you’re taking good care of your body. After all, you’ll be spending a lot of time sitting, which puts a heavy strain on your back and shoulders.

The DXRacer Racing Series (sometimes called the OH/RV001) is a chair that can help keep you at a tip-top performance. In this article, we’ll be covering its performance and analyzing its advantages to help you decide if it’s the right model for you. With that out of the way, let’s jump right in.

The DXRacer Racing Series chair isn’t the least expensive model around, but it is fairly reasonably priced at around $300. It comes in seven different color schemes, and while most of them are fairly bright, there’s also a classic black style for those looking for something a little more muted. So what sets this model apart from its rivals?

Well, notice the extended backrest. This supports the full length of the user’s spine, redistributing weight along its entirety. This means less pressure on the most important part of your body and less chance of injuring yourself when sitting for long periods of time. That’s not all, though.

It’s covered with a tear-resistant mesh and PU leather cover. Look, we know accidents can happen. Nobody wants to spill a cup of coffee and ruin the look of their shiny new chair. This cover limits the damage such an event can cause, plus if you chose the black version, there’d be no noticeable marks.

Believe it or not, it gets better. Comfort is the king on this market, and you need a chair that fits you perfectly. This is why the Racing Series features fully adjustable arms that can move in three dimensions. Up, down, left, right, in, or out: whatever you need, this chair makes it possible.

This chair will fit the majority of users. It can support up to 220 pounds of weight and isn’t even a problem for very tall users. The maximum recommended user height is 190cm (6’ 2”), so you probably won’t have to worry about that too much.

There isn’t much to complain about with this model. Its casters work equally well on hard and soft surfaces, plus it has far more subtle branding than most gaming chairs. That said, we would have liked to see some better lumbar support; there’s an outwards bulge at the lower back, but it’s not that much.

We were honestly impressed with the warranty on this chair. The frame itself is covered for the lifetime of the product, parts (arms, casters, etc.) have two-year coverage, and accessories (things like the headrest cushion) are covered for a year. That’s not bad, maybe a little tricky to remember.

All things considered, this chair represents a fair amount of value for money. It’s comfortable, yes, but more importantly, it’s designed to reduce the impact sitting all day has on your body.

Its price may seem a little steep but compared to the cost of a chiropractor, it’s actually fairly priced and we recommend it wholeheartedly. We say this even though there are better options out there, but if a gaming chair is what you’re after, then a racing chair from the DXRacer Racing Series is a good choice.
